This weekend, I had the privilege of attending the Civil 20 Summit, which was held as part of the G20. The summit aimed to discuss Integrated Holistic Health – mind, body, and environment, and brought together experts, policymakers, and stakeholders to share their thoughts and experiences with everyone involved. It was held at Amrita Hospital in Faridabad and was a great learning experience for all who participated. It provided a platform for participants to exchange ideas and best practices.
It was truly inspiring to be a part of an event that highlighted the progress that has been made in promoting diversity and inclusivity. It was a beautiful sight to see the representation of queer people at such a gathering. Our presence allowed for reflection and introspection among other participants, as they learned from our experiences and reflected on their own biases and prejudices.
The breakout sessions were particularly noteworthy as they gave queer participants equal opportunities to share their opinions, ensuring that our voices were heard. It was a crucial step towards creating policies that consider the needs of all members of society, regardless of their gender, sexuality, or other identities.
AHF India Cares was one of the organizers of the event, and we are grateful for the opportunity to participate in such a prestigious event. We hope that the policies resulting from this summit will be inclusive and take into account the needs of everyone.
I see this event as a stepping stone towards learning and growth. I look forward to attending more events and seminars like this in the future. By continuing to engage with experts, policymakers, and stakeholders, we can work towards creating a more inclusive and equitable society for everyone.
