Three years, as time flew by; a lot reminded stagnant,
The grief persist and so did the memories.
As I climbed those stairs, years after we bid goodbye,
Each step recalled a moment and so did the feet became, heavy.
As I rang the bell, I wish it was you;
Then was greeted with the same warmth as you would.
Your presence remained in each corner,
And it still echos your essence.
I left with a promise to climb those stairs again,
Mindful, that each time they will be hefty;
but will ascent with a smile.
